Great small TV.

Pros Great picture; Best sound for this size TV; Comes with hardware for wall mounting.
Cons 19 inch TV is actually much smaller when watching non-wide screen broadcasts
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Among 19 inch LCD TVs, this is the best. I would certainly buy another, and very well may, since the prices seem to be coming down so quickly.
Buying a small TV is tough because most review sites, such as Consumer Reports, don't rate anything smaller than a 32 inch television. (Note to review sites: Not all of us want to worship a television god in our living rooms.) I thus did my own research in two stores under admittedly less-than-ideal circumstances. I finally decided the Sharp and the Samsung had the best pictures, but the Samsung had much better sound. I've had the Samsung for a month and am very happy with it. I confess, I find the whole wide screen format annoying, since I sometimes have to manually change the picture ratios and since non-wide screen broadcasts are viewed on the equivalent of about a 14 inch screen. None of that is Samsung's fault, though, and once I figured out how to change the picture ratios (an instruction left out of the manual) life was good.

Since the other review is so thorough, I'll stop here and merely say I would definitely buy this TV again.

Two caveats:

1. When deciding between the white and the black model, be sure to look at the TVs in the "off" position. You need to be happy with how the TV looks in both on and off modes.

2. My salesperson, who seemed quite honest, really recommended I buy the extended warranty. She told me the adjustment buttons on the TV cabinet are quite fragile. I've never bought an extended warranty before, but I decided the peace of mind was worth it in this circumstance. Other people have told me I made the right decision.
