If you can get one that doesnt have the sound issues then buy it if not STAY AWAY
I have purchased one of these from future shop here in calgary alberta for a steal at $700.
unfortunately though i am now on my 3rd one which i will also have to be returning.
the picture quality is exceptional and the only problem is a heat and sound issue.
it seems to be the case that after the television has been in use for over half an hour and it is really starting to get warm it starts to whistle. A high pitched noise coming from the rear of the TV.
It is not due to the equipment i have plugged in as i have tried them all on different tvs and i have tried other things on this tv but the samsung still has the high pitch whistle.
Im really annoyed it has this issue as otherwise i really like the tv and i really wish i didnt have to change to something else.
it really looks slick in the front room and the shiny black finish with the blue light at the front only add to this.
it also comes on a nice black swivell type stand otr can be wall mounted to suit your needs. It also has ample input and output jacks on the back and sides
