Samsung LN-T4661F 46" HDTV LCD TV

The Samsung 46 inch LCD television is to me a work of art and a testament to how television technology has matured and become more accessible in the past 10 years. The LCD is my second Samsung flat panel television. In 2003, I purchased a 42 inch Samsung Plasma flat panel and love it. It still has a place in my home and works great. The holiday season of 2007 brought me to buy a new television. I looked at all the popular models flat panel, comparing size, price, features and overall quality and look. I was again drawn to the Samsung feeling like I got the most bang for my buck.

The thing that drew me in was how the newly designed, sleek black television framed the amazing quality LCD picture. I found the picture detail to be very crisp, bright and often much better than televisions with a higher sticker price. The exterior design still had the signature glowing blue ring in the middle for the power which looks better than it ever did. And, since the television doesn't have speakers, I think it allowed for much more design freedom. The television also had more than enough inputs including several component inputs and of course HDMI. I found the television menu to be revamped a little and much easier to use.

I purchased the television for about $2300 with some coupons. I also purchased the service plan and the highly recommended calibration service after 100 hours of use. I have been extremely happy with the television so far, mainly using it for XBox 360 games and the occasional HD satellite channel or DVD. No problems or concerns to speak of. The television looks beautiful mounted on my beige wall and even better when it's showing off either a wild car chase scene or Keith Olberman's forehead.
