The Bottom Line:
I'll be avoiding Samsung products because of the issues I've had. Samsung should stand behind their products especially when the issue seems to be prevalent.
The TV worked great for almost 2 years and then one day I turned it on and no picture, but I was able to get audio... I did some research on the issue and this seems to be a "common" issue with Samsung TV's in general (at least according to users comments on other websites). Apparrently this issue takes time to occurr. Most people (myself included) complained that this issue happened after their warranty expired looks to be around 15-18 months and then the issue shows up.
With the research I did, I found some users had success by ordering a part (A/S-T CON BOARD). Apparently Samsung does not acknowledge this issue, BUT they sell this part on their website to anyone... My opinion is that they must know this is an issue if they're selling the part on their own website... I've read of others ordering the part and replacing the old part and their tv worked again. I ordered the part and will attempt to replace the old one with the new one. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
From my research, it's not just this specific model that's having the issues- if you can, extend your warranty so you can be covered WHEN this problem happens to you.
