Problems
The 'just scan' mode is noted in the manual as for use with HDMI and DVI inputs, which should yield the best picture. Since I'm using the HDMI input, I expect to use the 'just scan' mode. Pain and suffering is the definition of this Samsung TV
In my opinion the TV is junk. It stopped working almost right away...Samsung would not stand behind the product. A $2200 major mistake. The TV would turn on only to sound...no picture. Research Samsung and you will find this to be a common attribute of Samsung TV's. Read full review »

Do yourself a favor and stay away from samsung.
After looking around I Purchased the samsung lnt-4665. Like many have reported since, my televison died two month out of waranty. The screen will go blank while the sound stays on.
