Samsung LN32A450 32" HDTV LCD TV

We bought this TV last September after our old tube TV gave out less than an hour to the first kick off for the NFL. We were kind of excited to be able to go out and get a new HD tv. We ran out to Sears and some other big box stores and we finally setteled on this one. Do not buy the 300 series!! There is a huge diffrence between the two. The 500 series is the 1080P model and is about 400 more. After doing some resarch it turns out that most people cannot tell the diffrence between the two. maybe in 5 years we will be able to be able to see the diffrence, but for now unless you have two 52 inch tvs next to each other in a theater like setting, a 720 will do. Dont waste your money on a 1080. This model has a much better picture and contrast ratio. We like just about every thing about it except the sound needs help. It seems like there are 2 levels, about 18 for a normal quiet room or 55 for when the furnace is running and kids are playing in the other room. If you have surround sound, you will be fine with this model. We paid about $850 for it at sears. I know we could have found a better deal but the 0% for 12 months was worth it.  I also use this TV for Xbox 360 and it is beautiful.
