The Bottom Line:

Good choice for smaller rooms or those looking for low cost HDTV.

I bought this TV for a 11'x11' room, with viewing distances of about 6-8 feet.  At this range, a 32 or 37 inch screen is the way to go, and the TV is positioned in a corner, so viewing angles are not large, so an LCD is the way to go.  For a 32 inch screen, 720p and 1020p look identical, so a 720p is the least expensive alternative.

Considering some low-cost brands offer 32" LCD 720p TV's for nearly $100 less than this Samsung, there has to be a good reason to buy this set.  I relied entirely on profession opinions, since side-by-side in a store, it's difficult to see a lot of difference.  Real differences are seen at home, when video, source, light and other variables change.

I'm really happy with the video quality of this TV.  HD cable TV looks incredible.  I have not yet tried Blu-Ray.  Standard DVD looks better than my old tube TV, but of course no where near HD.

The set-up menu is not too complicated.  The fact that the input source menu is separate from the main setup menu is at first a little confusing, but then later is probably more intuitive.  The remote is small and simple - I love it.

The overall appearance is glossy black and really nice.  The stand looks nice, too - and offers a little pivoting.

The one thing I didn't like was the lack of an optical coax input.  There is an optical input, but not optical coax, which is what I use on my standard DVD player.
