The Bottom Line:
This TV is definitely worth consideration at any price range
You really can't go wrong for the money with this TV. Excellent picture, whether cable, satellite, HDTV, DVD or Blu Ray. Super easy to set up, virtually right out of the box.
There might be TV's out there that have more features and higher specs but I don't see any difference in the quality of the picture, nor how it could be better. And it's ready to perform to the future resolution specs forecasted so no need to upgrade anything over the life of the TV, expected by Consumer Reports and others to be 15-20 years.
I chose not to buy a sound system as the stock surround sound is fine for my needs. I did buy a Samsung model 1500 Blu Ray player (as a package deal) and the quality is AMAZING. You have to see it to believe it. There are no shadows in action scenes or sports, black looks truly black and the definition is spectacular.
Excellent resolution in ALL light conditions.3 HDMI ports provide for ample hi-res plug-ins for plenty of access, tons of other ports for gaming, computers and sound system.
The auto volume adjust is a gift from the gods, no more adjusting volume between channels, keeping the volume constant 99% of the time.
The included swivel base is great for any location, mine's in a bedroom - love it.
Do your homework, shop around and check them all but keep this one in mind. I found it was the best TV for the money and features picture quality surpassing those that cost much more. Alot of the info available online is now outdated. There is VERY little difference between plasma and LCD anymore. Your eyes will reveal that quickly. Follow you gut feeling and let your own eyes choose the best picture.
The 1920 x 1080 resolution, the 30000:1 contrast ratio and the 1080p make for a picture that must be seen to be believed.
I strongly recommend this awesome TV to anyone.
