5 stars for picture/one star for quality/10 stars for SEARS

Pros Best picture that I have seen in-person. This picture pops
Cons The quality control and substandard parts for at least the power supply.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Buy local on any large LCD in case it frys the first 30 days.
I will update this review by this Saturday. Monday it was up and running and ready for me to play awhile and review later. LOL

10 days and its still running fine. I think my first unit had a little deeper color but that may be firmware or an adjustment. I am extremely happy so far with my replacement unit. The on screen Internet features work as advertised. Sears is a first class business and the swap out was perfect.

As far as any down in the weeds critic you will not get that from this review as I have a real daytime job. LOL

But I have no clouds, thunderstorms, rain, hail, torches, flashlights, tiger stripes, banding, etc. LOL But they could be there if I had a magnifying glass and a totally black room and picture. NOT!!!!

PS// I found the spelling check button!

(Old review)
This was the best LCD and picture I have ever seen. However it is a beautiful picture frame for now. Bad news! Loud pop last night and no TV. Sears is bringing me a new one Monday. Sears folks, is a first class business and you need to get your large items from at least a local store since they will swap defective products out the first 30 days. I wonder how many of these Sammy's fry the power supply in the first week. I am concerned with the very poor quality control for all LCDs these days and hopefully the replacement Samsung will be perfect. Sure glad I bought this at a local Sears. It was made in Oct 2008 and the box was clean and perfect. For the 12 hours it worked it was the best picture I have ever seen. If the second one burns out I will be finished with Samsung and Sharp which leaves the Sony line. I do have two smaller older Samsungs that work fine and seem to be a quality product. All of my older Sonys, Sharps, and Samsungs are still working fine.

After the Sharp 52-94U through the mail return fiasco, I will never by another large TV over the Internet.

The old saying leave new electronics on 24/7 the first week applies in this situation. Hopefully the next one will work with no defects. The picture had no clouds or dead pixels when it worked! ARGH!

One would have to wonder what kind of business model Samsung and many have when building these huge TVs without a good quality control system.

Update/I Will rewrite this review on Saturday after the replacement delivery has had time to break in and be adjusted.
