Samsung PCJ522R 52 in. TV

When we purchased our TV we really weren't in need or want, but since we had just bought a DVD player we wanted to check out the difference of picture quality on larger TV. It looks great and my husband and I are very pleased with our purchase. We looked at several different stores and at several different models. I did a lot of searching on this site as well as others, once the looking process started. Our budge was tight since we weren't saving for this purchase but we wanted to get a good set but not pay too much. We looked at the GE 42" and the RCA which are really the same TV since GE makes both as well as Phillips. We actually went to HH Gregg to buy the RCA since it was advertised for 999.00, now that was in our budget. Once we arrived and starting looking at the picture quality and took in account that GE and RCA did not have a screen protector we decided to leave and look again when we had more money saved. Of course the sales guy would not let us leave until he showed us just one more TV that he could get us a bargain on. It happened to be the Samsung PCJ522R. At first I didn't like the look of the screen protector but now it is like watching a tube TV instead of the traditional projection. I can view my TV at most angles and the picture looks great. My brother has a Toshiba big screen and really likes our Samsung much better, of course it does have the same features has his Toshiba but has better picture quality. He is actually selling his to by the Samsung. We have a 1 year old that loves to take his toys and bang on the TV. If we didn't have the protector our TV would be unwatchable. The protector really does take a lot of abuse. I have read other reviews on this same model that state the TV is heavy and unmovable once in place. Our TV is 170 lbs and is on locking wheels, of course it comes with slip plates to put on the bottom if you decide that you don't want it moved for a while. We left the lockable wheels on it and it doesn't move at all.

I could go on and on about this TV but won't. I is a great TV and we are thrilled with it. If you are looking please give this TV a 2nd look.
