I had to buy a new TV after my old plasma (2 years old) blew out. I was going to go with an LCD, but the picture on this plasma was superior to the newest LCD's, for half the price. There is no motion blur when I watch sports, the blacks are deep, and the image is brighter and sharper than any other plasma I tested. At 50" it's big enough for most living rooms and the setup was a breeze. The only complaint I have is the swivel stand, which is convenient, but so flimsy it snapped on the first night. Samsung sent a repair guy out with a new stand within a few days, but it still worries me every time I rotate the monitor.
