Samsung DVD-VR330 DVD Recorder / VCR Combo

I purchased the DVD-VR330 in August of 2006 from Sam's Club. Following VERY limited use, the unit failed to read DVD's by February 2007 (6-MONTHS OLD). Samsung offers a 90 day labor warranty, and instructed me to send the unit back to their service center CVE in NJ along with my check in the amount of $30.00, which I did. Several weeks later I called and asked about the status of my repair. I was told that the unit was repaired, but since they didn't find my check they were holding the unit. No one at CVE was smart enough to use a telephone to tell me this, so it came as no surprise that when I finally received the unit back IT WAS WORSE. Not only did the DVD not work, the entire unit failed to produce any image whatsoever. When I called Samsung back, the only solution they could offer was for me to send the unit back to CVE. Do yourself a favor, buy any brand EXCEPT SAMSUNG. The company makes cheap, poor quality electronics and offers poor service and support.
