Very pleased
I spent weeks trying to find a DVD recorder, and finally decided on the DVD-VR330. I'm very happy with the operation of this unit. I wanted to transfer our old VHS home videos to DVD, and the process is very easy, and it works very well.
Samsung is NOT known for their easy-to-follow...

Returned THREE faulty units
The first unit was bought at Circuit City and returned because it significantly degraded the signal quality from our cable TV service. Several months later, Best Buy had the DVD-VR330 on sale so we thought we would give it a second try. There was no signal quality issues with the second unit but it... Read full review »
DON'T BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG
Always had problem reading some DVDs. Now it won't read DVDs at all.
Was never very happy with it. I will avoid Samsung products from now on.

Would consider purchase again
Just wanted to update after months of use. This recorder starts up, reading discs, quicker than my Panasonic. I believe I have discovered that the reason I sometimes cannot view discs from this recorder on my Panasonic is actually due to the Panasonic. The discs read fine in normal read-only... Don't Buy SAMSUNG
I purchased the DVD-VR330 in August of 2006 from Sam's Club. Following VERY limited use, the unit failed to read DVD's by February 2007 (6-MONTHS OLD). Samsung offers a 90 day labor warranty, and instructed me to send the unit back to their service center CVE in NJ along with my check in the amount... Read full review »

I hate Samsung
This was a huge regret... I still regret not returning it. I have had nothing but trouble with this machine since day 1. Nothing works right. Only 1 brand of disc seems to work half decently and only 1 place near me sells that brand (so much for using any kind of disc, as advertised.) It... Read full review »
No more Samsung for me!
Samsung DVD-VR330 (bought 3/2007) "worked" good for a few months. However, the audio and video were never in sync, and this is disconcerting and not what I would call acceptable. Samsung's service reply was "please call us, many things could cause this, like having other components connected to... Read full review »
Bought 1st Unit in Feb., Not useable yet !
VR-330 will not do DVD record. "Repaired" twice; exchanged once so far without improvement. Warranty service is outsourced to a 3rd party outfit, CVE, whose main job appears to outwait the customer rather than actually repair anything.
Accordingly, it has now been over six months and I...
