The Bottom Line:
If you're looking for a bright, high performance, 8ms, 19" LCD monitor for graphics/gaming, this can't be beat. Try Finding something else this good for under $400!! You can't!!
Has worked flawlessly right out of the box. I bought this for my high end gaming system that I'm currently building. I was going to buy the Samsung 915n but decided not to. While the 915n does have a 8ms response time, it is lacking a DVI connection which is HUGE to me. Plus, the 930B has a $90 mail-in rebate which places it BELOW the 915n price (last I checked).
All of the reviews I've read on it have been great and after playing around with it at Best Buy, I decided to purchase it. I felt that the reduction in performance from CRT monitors isn't that significant considering the 8ms response time, 700/1 contrast ratio, etc. etc. It's fast enough and performs flawlessly when pushed... and it's WAY THINNER and about 40lbs lighter than my old 19" CRT.
When I got it home, I plugged it in and tested it with the Dead Pixel Buddy program and found NO dead pixels. A week later, still no dead pixels. I also bought the 3 year replacement warranty from Best Buy. They will replace it with a brand new one if I find 4 dead pixels. I felt this was a good deal considering the reputation of LCD's.
Overall, I give it a 10. IMO, if anyone notices a significant difference between this monitor and a CRT as far as graphics/gaming is concerned, they are either looking too hard, lying or too nitpicky. :)
