I bought this 17-inch LCD monitor at Fry's, $250 after $80 in rebates. Samsung makes leading-edge monitors at an affordable price. Beware of the response times for LCD monitors. This one said 8 milliseconds, half the speed listed for most monitors, but it all depends on what's being tested, gray-to-gray, color? It's pretty much meaningless to the consumer unless the specs are detailed.
I compared it to my Dell 17-inch and it's about the same, maybe a bit brighter. I noticed one bad pixel, but it's only visible in solid black, so nothing to be concerned over.
The monitor has both analog and digital inputs, but I have only analog on my PC. Higher-end PCs now come with digital support for LCD monitors.
Only drawback I can think of is the lack of adjustment of any kind, side-to-side or up and down. Woops, I found the controls at the bottom of the screen.
