Samsung D600
Pros
Nice looking phone with a very smooth slide operation.
Cons
Screen scratches VERY easily.<br>Battery life is too short.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
This phone is fine if your use is limited and you are able to charge it regularily (nightly). A screen protector is a must.
I bought this phone on eBay for $66 to replace my old Nokia that served for several years until the screen suddenly went dead. This Samsung is an unlocked variety which fits my needs exactly as I have pre-paid SIM's for Canada, USA and Mexico that I slip in as needed. It was a "reconditioned" model that arrived in pristeen condition without a sign of any previous use.
My first problem was the battery life. I hardly ever use this phone, it is simply carried for emergency use. I have not added ring tones or games and the camera has only been used a few times when it was new for testing purposes. I bought the phone with two extra batteries and all exhibit short life problems Just sitting in my pocket turned on, the most I can expect is two days and less if I actually use the phone.
The second problem is the screen. I am very careful to carry it by itself in my pocket but it scratched just from contact with the material of my pocket! I bought some screen protectors for it on eBay and that seemed to solve the problem.
I am not recomending this phone simply because of the poor battery life. My previous Nokia would last for almost a week if I did not use it, this Samsung is dead after two days at the most.
