The Bottom Line:
I recommend this monitor to anyone who isn't too nit-picky. The picture produced is an overall 4/5.
The monitor in general is well worth the amount spent for it. It only cost me $214.00. So far I would describe this as an above average 19" CRT monitor. It has a nice amount of features, all available from a control panel on the right side. You can also modify any settings using Samsungs Magic Tweaking program. It will even let you adjust the corners of the image. I have the image fitting the screen exactly filling the entire viewable area.
The monitor does have a few quirks though. It has a ghosting problem when viewing large areas of black. The white/bright parts of the screen will cast a ghosting effect onto any black zones. This is kind of annoying.
Also, once in a while this unit will blip or malfunction in a very odd way. Like a quick scrambling action in small parts of the screen.
Anyway, even if this thing does go I have a 3 year 3 month warrantee with the company. They gave me a free 3 month extension on the 3 year base for early registration.
Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the unit. I just wish the monitor would function at 100% for me.
