Great DVD player
I purchased the DVD-HD860 as a replacement to my older Samsung DVD-HD931. I must say that the picture and sound quality on this new player are far superior to my previous player. My previous player was a great player as well, I just figured I would upgrade to a newer model and I'm glad I did!

Low price for Low end
I wouldn't recommend this DVD player to anyone who wants a good machine.
Video is average if you like not being able to get proper tint. Audio is very poor, stereo imaging barely existent.
Layout and access to menus is not very intuitive but can be figured out.

The worst DVD player I have ever had the displeasure to own.
I purchased my this horrible piece of equipment from ebay as an open box item. The worst
This is perhaps the worst DVD player in the world. It only plays about 60% (6 out 10) DVDs without freezing or hiccuping. The remote: forget about it. Garbage. Slow. Unresponsive. Avoid this one!
I bought 2 of these things, one for home and one for our vacation home. Both have failed, even with relatively little use.
The remote quit working on one, I discovered through a little research that the remote itself was working, but the sensor in the unit was not.
