If you're looking for great sound, this in not the one

I bought this unit because we were looking to get better sound from our movies. After plugging the system in (which is pretty user friendly), we were looking forward to playing with out new toy. We tried a dvd on and quickly realized that the picture quality was not any better than the magnavox dvd player we had. Perhaps it's the samsung hlr5067w television that adjusts the dvd picture. Nevertheless, we continued watching, hoping to hear, at least, some very good sound. We were disappointed. The three front speakers were the only ones you could hear. I did a test to check the entire system and they were all hooked up. I decided to continued watching the movie and see how much I enjoyed it. I cranked the volume up and I was not impressed. Maybe I'm getting what I purchased and should be looking at higher end components.
