A can't miss purchase for a 37" LCD TV

Pros Picture, inputs, brand, weight, price
Cons Wish it were bigger but 37" was my max, so no cons!
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If you are looking for a 37" LCD, then this is the best one out there IMO. Great picture and with HDMI connections you will not be dissapointed.
My 35" Sony tube tv died after a long life of 11 years. I've wanted to replace this TV for a while so I probably could've got it fixed but it got the boot.

I have an entertainment cabinet that frankly I did not want to get rid of so I was forced into a TV which was no wider than 37.5". I found 3. It as between a Sony, Toshiba and a Samsung. The Toshiba had aweszxome reviews but the colors on the Samsung have always impressed me.

Next choice I had to make was 720P vs. 1080P. I am going to break this down to the simpliest terms. If you are looking for a TV 40" and under, then 1080P is a waste of your money. It is the best technology out there but under 40", you cannot tell. This was very tough for me to face because I always want to have the best, regardless of my credit line, I mean finances.

Another big choice, was how many HDMI and Component imputs there were.

I had everything I needed. Timet o go hunting!

The 37" Samsung won out for a few reasons. The picture is amazing. It had 3 HDMI inputs (go HDMI when hooking up DVD players or Cable).

I brought it home and set it up. I hooked up my HD cable with a $99 HDMI cable and I hooked up my new Toshiba 1080i upconvert DVD player to play my old DVDs (an upconvert DVD player takes your old 480i DVDs and boosts the signal so it looks HD. Now that is a stretch but you notice a MAJOT difference and these DVD players are less than $100. I also hooked up my kid's Gamecube, yes Gamecube to the TV using regular Red,White and Yellow cables. The picture is sick. I mean sick with these fundamental cables.

Bottom line...No brainer. For $1000 you can't miss with this TV.
