Samsung SyncMaster 793DF 17 inch CRT Monitor

I purchased this as a replacement for my ailing KDS monitor in November 2004, and it blew-out just this March. Dead after 14 months in service. Believe me, extinguishing the flames from my monitor was not the worst of the ordeal. Try dealing with Samsung's so called customer service turned out to be a very, very painful ordeal -- of explanations, reconnections, disconnection, multiple calls, rude customer service reps, and a potential $50 shipping fee that I would have to pay because their product was defective. Well, needless to say, I'm not paying $50 in shipping for a defective product replacement. They can take their monitor and shove it.

Cons: SAMSUNG. I will never purchase another Samsung product again, due to the lousy experience I had with their "customer service". As for the monitor, the image quality and design were very poor: a large dot-pitch made viewing difficult, especially for critical applications such as photo retouching and video editing. The controls were poorly layed out - a real pain to make adjustments on unless you have very small fingers and 3 hands. Really, avoid this monitor. Buy an LCD from SONY if you need a monitor.
