The Bottom Line:
Get the Phone if you want easy usage and great features both programming and looks.
I recently purchased the "Sway" phone from Verizon when my old phone needed to be replaced. I was looking for something affordable and nice, the touch screen phones seem way to fragile. But the shiny silver of this slider phone caught my eye.
I paid $150 for the phone and had a $50 rebate to go along with the deal. This phone comes with many options, music, picture, video, games, Internet, and everything else that comes with new phones. Music- the good thing about the music part of the phone is that this is just like an MP3 player. The program is not with VCast so i was pretty happy about that. At random times I have up to 100 songs on my phone with a memory card though. Memory- is 50 MB not the best but having a memory card with 1 gig helps out. If your not one to have lots of pictures, video's, and music, there is nothing to worry about.Volume on the music and ring-tones is quite excellent, the phone will play loudly in rooms but it is quit outdoors. There is an adapter for earphones. The Camera- 2.0 Mega pixel is just enough to take great pictures, when you transport pictures to your computer they turn out to be amazing and large, just like you take them on your digital camera. The only downside of the camera is there is no zoom, but I still like the phone. The video side is decent but not the best quality, it does have zoom and the sound is alright.Games- I have not purchased any games to play on my phone but i'm sure the gaming program is o.k. Bluetooth, USB detection, and memory cards are another great feature about the phone. Choose where you want your information to be saved, the card or the phone. sync music between your computer and phone its not that hard to do. One thing I loved the most about my phone is over the summer I lived in a place with no cell service. But with my new phone I was able to pick up 1x and be able to call out and send/receive text messages. Messaging what a great option; i can save up to 200 in my inbox and my outbox, there is email, chat, and mobile IM. but make sure you have the correct plan or you will be paying extra to have those features. I love the ability to save sounds as ringtones, not very many phones have that option to do that. But I am disappointed with the programming where i can not have customizable text message sounds. Another feature I noticed over the summer the power save mode when not in service. This feature takes over my battery and just happens to save it from the death of not having service, i love this option especially when I'm listening to my music and the battery will last for hours. I have had my downfalls with this phone though, it might be from dropping the phone a couple of times. The screen will come up as lines with rough imaging. An easy way to fix this problem is hit the camera button and everything is cleared up. This issue occurs when i turn the phone on or off. I dare you to pick up the "Sway" next time your in the phone store and check it out. The sleek phone will surly take your mind away from those expensive, fragile phones.
