This is a great monitor at a great price.
Excellent image quality.
Very crisp/clear/bright.
Easy to master OSD controls.
Not heavy.
Space-efficient.
Strong buttons.
Monitor really glides well on it's swivel-base.
3-year warrenty.
I decided to buy this one over 9 other 17" CRT displays at Fry's Electronics. Out of all 10 displays, this one had superior image clarity/quality, asthetic appeal, quality of construction, and OSD controls.
This monitor performed well at all resolutions from 640x___ to 1280X____.
The only downfall is the 1280x1024 resolution cap.
Of all 10 displays I tested at Fry's, none could operate higher than 1280x1024, nor could any operate at higher than 60Hz while running 1280x1024.
So, I suggest, if you're looking for a higher resolution (ie. 1600 ), then go for a 19". Of all the 19"'s I looked it, Saumsung seemed to have the superior product, as well.
Good luck.
