The Bottom Line:
If your budget is under $200 then this is the monitor to get, if it's over then get a monitor that will do a higher resolution.
The Samsung 955DF monitor is in my opinion the best 19" monitor $150 will buy. It looks great at all it's supported resolutions (up to 1600x1200 @ 68 HZ) and is one of the best perfectly flat (Invar Shadow Mask) tubed monitors on the market. I have had experience with this model from Samsung for over a year and it has performed flawlessly. I am a big 1600x1200 resolutions at 85hz plus fan... and since this one will only do 68hz it is my only con. It has a standard 19" monitor footprint and the controls are easy enough to figure out. The "Highlight Zone" features the monitor has will not be a deal maker or breaker for anyone I know as it is more of a toy to play with for a day or so and then you will never use it again. If you have the cash go for the Samsung NF series with the trinitron tube or another Invar shadow tube they have which will support the higher refresh at 1600x1200. If you do not have the money or do not use resolutions as high as 1600x1200 than this monitor is a "dream come true"!
