Samsung DynaFlat TX-P2775H 27 inch TV

We were looking for the largest diagonal size HDTV set which would fill and actually fit into the limited space we had in our Thomasville wall unit (which was built before the letterbox format was popular). This unit just barely fit. We wanted to be able to view both the 4:3 and 16:9 formats in high definition at a distance of about about 12 ft. And the HDTV set had to incorporate an HDTV tuner as well as an ATSC tuner which we could hook directly to our cable system through our DVD player. The Samsung 2775H fit the just bill. We viewed it side-by-side with more expensive competing HDTV monitors (SONY and Panasonic) and found the picture quality to be clearly superior. The two things we would change on this product are the location of the "front" interconnections and controls on the left and right sides of the HDTV cabinet where we have precious little space, and the sound quality could be a bit better. We will be supplementing it with a separate better sound system. Offering a black cabinet to improve screen-to-surround contrast might also be a nice option. The warranty was longer than is competitors, too.
