The Bottom Line:
Great MP3 player that allows you to add more memory.
My wife has the 4GB iPod but once she filled it up with songs she could not add more so she has to delete to make room. I check many reviews online that had pros and cons about the Sansa Connect. The thing that I really liked was the ability to add more memory to the unit once I filled it up with songs.
It only took about two hours to do a complete first charge of the battery. It's nice that SanDisk supplies a wall outlet adapter for the USB cable. It's nice that I don't need to have my computer running all the time to charge or have to buy additional adapters like some other MP3 players. After the battery was charged I had trouble and needed to call technical support.
The gentleman I talk with told me what I needed to do to get the latest Firmware. As I was waiting for the software I talk with the gentleman and found out that the Sansa Connect was one of the more reliable MP3 players or had fewer problems then the other MP3 players offered by SanDisk.
Once the upgrade was completed I was on my way. Connected the MP3 player to my Windows Vista computer and started downloading songs. The headphones have great sound quality and can handle bass like no other headphones I have used before. They are even better then my wife's iPod headphones, I was surprised as well.
I can sit at work for nine hours and play music all day and the battery keeps up with out having to charge it. Searching for a song or just navigating around using the finger wheel is nice and smooth. The large screen lets me see everything but I just wish I could change the background picture to one of my own.
As my wife puts it, "I like your MP3 player better".
