This is an OK TV especially if you're paying under $1000. However, I bought this TV from Costco Online and was not impressed with the picture at all. So I went to the local Costco and bought the Vizio Gallevia 47" which I had also been considering. I set the Vizio up side by side to the Sceptre and the difference was remarkable. The Vizio had a much better picture. The blacks were much more pure and the colors were more dead on. I fiddled with the picture options on the Sceptre and it never really had a better than fair picture. The Vizio was dead on without any adjustments.
I returned the Sceptre and kept the Vizio. I see Costco is now offering the Sceptre for $999. I would never pay more than that for this TV and I would still hold out for a better picture.
