We purchased our 25 inch Sharp TV/VCR combo about 3 years ago as a second TV for our son's room. We have never had a problem with it. The picture quality is great. The VCR has automatic tracking and has held up wonderful considering its primary user is a now 6 year old.
It is cable ready and very easy to use. All the buttons are on the bottom so if you have a small child a VCR guard and a TV guard would be a wise investment. We paid $500 for our TV but that was 3 years ago, I am sure the price is much lower by now. If you are in the market for a good TV and don't have a lot of room for a VCR this television is a great alternative.
