Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Despite paying more than planned, this offers terrific image quality and sound quality is great..no need for additional speakers!
The Sharp Liquid Crystal TV isn't the cheapest one on the market. However, it has an excellent display which delivers a very realistic picture. Colors are accurate. Detail shows up crisply that dwarfs other tvs in this size range.
Adjusting the backlight can be difficult with this type of tv, but this unit has excellent controls. Blacks are dark and inky.
Design is good. You can add other video connections of you wish, but the 10 watt speakers that are built in offer very good audio quality so this is practically a plug and play unit that you may wish to purchase.
Overall specifications are indicated below:

Bottom line is that when one is watching television, be it a movie or a game show or the news, one wants to see a good image. The tv is elegant looking even when turned off. This size is a good compromise; it is large enough to enjoy and small enough to not take up too much space on a credenza or dresser.
