I have now gone through three of these 52" sets. Every one of them has had dark thick vertical bands (about 5") and dark thin horizontal bands (about 1") in the picture. While the banding patterns on each of the 3 sets was slightly different in each case, the problem was there in all three sets. If you are told that this was a problem that has been fixed, do not believe it. My last set's serial number started with 702... that's very recent as of April, 2007. Sorry Sharp, but the problem has not been fixed. Three strikes and you are out. I will take my refund now.
