Purchased my Sharp Aquos for 2,200.00 on Jan 30, 2008 from Future Shop. I bought this expensive higher end TV with the intent of having trouble free veiwing for years to come. Sadly this isn't the case(I didn't purchase an extended warranty)now my TV's main circuit board needs replacing at the ernormous cost of 900.00! The tech. cost 70.00 and the cable company charged me 70.00 I'm out 140.00 dollars and a tv that dosen't work, this clearly is a manufacturing defect(the tv only has 2150 hours of viewing) . I.ve contacted customer service at Sharp and based on my description(vertical green and red lines which makes veiwing impossible) informed me that I had physically abused the set, I have never heard of anything so absurd! I have to pursue this to the highest level, may as well have bought an inexpensive tv from Walmart,
