Pros size, looks, sound quality, remote, easy to use, price
Cons titling, labels av worn off
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  if you can find one of these now, dont hesitate to buy it. it will last u 4eva
I have 3 minidisc players/recorders, the Sony r55, the sharp 821, and 2 others including a new sony mdlp net md recorder. The oldest out of the 4, the sharp 821, is the best by far. its the nicest looking, most solid, and one of the smallest. and its 5 yrs old now. my r55 is 4 yrs, and its getting a bit tired now, but the 821 is still going strong. Good Points: sound quality, size (about the same as 3 mds stacked), easy to use, best built (I drop mine all the time and have knocked it into things countless times and it still works rly well), good remote. Bad Points: labels for the buttons on the remote have worn off, not being able to name tracks when playing back/recording. it also take ages to title tracks (but this is the case for most md players/recorders) but considering i only paid 50 pounds (90-95 usd) for mine on ebay, its the best minidisc player/rec i own and you dnt notice the labels or realise it takes 4eva 2 title tracks wen ur listening to ur fav songs on one of the smallest, best looking, easy to use minidisc recorders ever made.
