No
The Bottom Line:
I would not recommend this product at this time. Reliability is very important in the mobile presentation world.
The Sharp projector is an excellent projector when it is actually working. It is lightweight (under 6lbs), very bright, has good contrast, easy to setup and use, and throws an excellent picture. The downside is that the unit is unreliable. There is a well documented issue with this model where the unit intermittently shuts down. Other times, after one of these shut downs, the unit doesn't come back on.
Sharp has indicated that there is a known firmware issue on this model. A firmware update can be done by Sharp only, not by an authorized service center. Fortunately Sharp has a very strong customer service department. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. They had a loaner unit Fed Exed out by the next day for us to use until our unit is repaired. (3 Day turnaround, two days for shipping, one day for repairs.)
Some people still report the intermittent shut down issue even after Sharp has upgraded the firmware. I have not encountered this again just yet.
