Cheap with Quality

We bought a second VCR for the house last year for the kid's use, but didn't want to spend a lot of money so we tried a Sharp.
I was happy with the quality of the pictures, the ease of the usage and the simple instructions to tape a movie.
My son likes to watch certain programs on Nick Jr. so this comes in handy, we can tape his shows while he is at school and the tv doesn't need to be on to do it either. (now I dont know if this is my tv or the VCR, so take my word if it isn't the VCR that does this)
It is also compact so doesn't take up much room.
My only real complaint is that you can't hook a Playstation up to it.
