I love this VCR. It was only $100 and has been great for personal home use. It has all the features that you would want. It is easily programmable, the controls are simple to use and it has all the AV inputs/outputs the casual user would need.
I tape things with this unit often, and I have never had a problem with it. The menu to program is very simple, even my mom could use it. The controls are very easy to use. It actually has a two speed FF and RW, witch makes for easy searching from the comfort of your favorite chair with the wireless universal remote.
I currently have my Stereo hooked up to it for a Quazi-surround sound. It is great for watching action movies and playing video games on my Playstation. The only downside is that oe might want more AV inputs if they were to add more accesories to their entertainment system.
The picture is sharp and it even reads some older tapes more clearly than my old VCR at home. I have yet to have a problem with it and plan to keep it for a long time.
