Sharp VC-H982U VHS VCR

This product is a great value for those looking for a low end HI-FI VCR. Prices are usually well below the suggested retail listed here. In fact; I paid just $69.99 for mine. This model and it's older sister models are a staple in my stable. The sound quality is very good. Resolution in SP mode is excellent while EP mode is a step down. Durability for the line is very good. I have an older model that is 5 years old and still runs good. I'm not impressed with the auto head cleaning and the auto clock set can take an hour sometimes. The absence of a battery backup is a negative as well as timer programming can be lost in just a brownout. The high speed rewind is great and overall this is a great product for the money!
