Love the Sharp VC-H993U!
Our old Sharp VCR recently died, and my husband got a great deal on the Sharp VC-H993U. This model is wonderful, with lots of bells and whistles.
It self-cleans its heads, which is a huge plus to me because I was forever either cleaning the heads of our old one or paying to have it done...

This vcr has great sound. The hi-fi stereo sound is clear and not distorted at all as far as we can tell using tv-set speakers.
