Must have the Sharper Image Subwoofer
Pros
Excellent sound quality that matches it's good looks as long as you've got the subwoofer.
Cons
Could feature better sound dynamics so it wouldn't require a subwoofer.

This system is my main stereo for my living room and has been since I bought it new with the subwoofer from an actual Sharper Image retail store. (to all youngsters out there; there used to be walk in stores once upon a time). At the store, you had the opportunity to listen to the systems. I did a comparison with the system without the not included at the time subwoofer and then with it. The system not only sounds complete with the sub, but it actually sounds as good as it looks. I'm still impressed to this day. The speakers on the top of the towers that point straight up really do create a "virtual surround" effect, but not as much as I'd like. Overall, I would recommend this system but good luck finding one now. This particular model has become a collectors item as they are no longer being produced.
