Sound quality is undesirable. Even if you're not picky about sound quality. It's that bad.

I purchased a Sharper Image SA250, and was very disappointed in the sound. In fact, I felt like I got scammed. Well, live and learn. No more sharper image - anything for me. I replaced it with a Bose wave system ... same price, but no wheres in comparison when it comes to sound.
The speakers design give the illusion of a well thought out, sound dynamic, engineered device. I was waiting to be awed by the sound waves bouncing off of the walls into my awaiting ears. This equipment was going to be the talking point when guest comes for dinner. So you could imagine my disappointment when I sat down to listen for the first time. I finally gave the unit to my daughter, who thought that I was the best dad in the world. When she get older, and appreciate music, I hope the topic of pawning a less quality stereo on her never comes up at our holiday dinners. Especially, when she realize that she could have had a Bose.
Sorry Sharper Image ... you have to do better research on your product if you want costumers like me.
