a RADIO review, not a Sirius review

Pros None. Well, it IS cheap.
Cons Breaks after 1 year. Doesn't hold a signal. Hard-to-use signal selection switch.
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  Cheap, doesn't last, waste of money. Buy something decent the first time.
All of the other reviews for this radio are for the Sirius service, or from people who have just bought and installed the radio. I've had the radio for 2 years and HATE it.

Yes, it's (relatively) easy to install. Yes, Sirius is great. However, this radio is a cheap piece of tat. Mine has always had a rough time holding a signal, and required numerous re-syncs by changing the station tuning on the car radio and then matching it up with the awkward and uncomfortable signal switch on the side of the Sportster. This is made constantly annoying by the fact that the sequence of radio signal settings on the radio are backwards from the control on the car radio.

After about a year of use, I started to get many "Antenna not detected" messages on the Sportster. These would self-correct within seconds, but kept occurring when there was NOTHING wrong with the antenna connection. Now (2 years), the radio is in a constant loop of "Antenna not detected" and "Searching for signal" messages. Absolutely totally useless and I am shopping for a more robust model. Save your self lots of aggravation, and buy a sturdier, longer-lasting Sirius radio for your car. This one is cheap junk.
