Siriusly Poor Receiver

Good programming. Sporty design.
Cons
Runs hot, transmitter doesn't transmit, static, loses satellite connection regularly.

We bought this product over a year ago and have had too many problems to list them all. After months of interrupted service, Sirius shipped a replacement product. The replacement has a whole different group of issues.
We have no north windows that open. It took months to determine that the poor flimsy antenna has to be on a pole outside the northeast corner of the house in our part of the country. We figured this out, not Sirius's customer service. I have spent many hours waiting to talk to CS reps, who generally know less about it than I do.
The FM transmitter doesn't work as well as Mr. Microphone did back in the 1970's. The wired reception after an hour has so much static it's intolerable.
Sirius would probably send another replacement if I hounded them a few more hours, but if it has to be this much struggle I figure it is not meant to be.
I'm going to buy an iPOD.
