Depends on what you're looking for...
Pros
Lightweight, extremely easy to operate
Cons
Not a lot of memory
Recommended it?
Yes
We bought the Diamond Rio PMP3 player because we were spending a LOT of money on writable cds. I was converting the MP3s into cd format and then having custom made cds. My husband has picked up the new hobby of old time radio programs and we were finding he could only fit two programs per cd. At around $1 a cd, this was becoming quite costly. We needed another alternative.
Intro Diamond Rio PMP300...it is lightweight and very easy to operate. No, it doesn't have a ton of memory, but depending on what you are looking for, it can be the perfect fit for you. We can download three or four thirty minute radio programs, listen to them once or twice and then download more. The commute to work is about ninety minutes round trip for my husband, and that is just about what the Diamond Rio has...I think it would also be perfect for joggers/walkers, or just long enough to do an exercise workout.
The price is very reasonable, we found it at Best Buy for $119 (actually paid $169 less $50 rebate). Digital music is here to stay. I'm sure like with any electronics, the quality of MP3 players will go up and the price will go down. But for right now, we are very satisfied with the Diamond Rio PMP300
