I'll give it to my daughter...
Pros
Very small, light weight, portable
Cons
No backlit display, low memory capabilities
Recommended it?
Yes
I'll give it to my 11 year old daughter because I will be buying something with a little more oompf for myself!
Of course, this was the plan when I bought it (in Singapore so with Currency conversion, it was a better deal). It serves its purpose. The software that comes with it is fairly straight forward and easy to use with some nice links to MP3 web sites (of course I have no idea who any of the artists are!)
The ear phones are very nice and I have used them with several other devices as well. The batter seems to last for a reasonable amount of time as well, however, when I purchased my Rio, it came with a carrying case that is useless...it fits so tightly that it keeps pressing the on button and running my battery down without me even enjoying my music!!
I do love the idea though having played with one, will wait quite some time for the technology and price to settle down! I will also look for a player with a backlit display.
Overall, it's great for what I purchased it for...a trial of the new technology and a nice gift for my daughter!
