I just purchased this bundle which includes the kit lens (18-70) and the telephoto lens (75-300). The numbers can be a little deceiving as you have to multiply them by 1.5 which is the lens/sensor factor for these cameras. Pros Great pictures even in Auto-mode, Great value for mega-pixels, reasonable lens selection.
Cons Noisy, setting up shots must be done through the viewfinder, proprietary transfer cable.

Pros Easy to use, good picture quality.
Cons Image-processing can be slow, grainy high-ISO pictures.
Recommended it? Yes

The 200 is a redesign of the Alpha 100, but still accepts the same lenses (and, in fact, Minolta lenses in general, since Sony bought Minolta). So there's a broad variety of addons available.

Pros Excellent pictures, great battery life, features, low price
Cons Only uses Compact Flash, no Memory stick slot.
Recommended it? Yes

This camera is a fantastic amateur photographer. It has amazing clarity, which I love and also a great price to boot. Included in the basic package is a lens.
