Sony proves it's value

The Bottom Line:
If you want a great product with an eye to being compatable with future products I think you can't do better than the Sony Bavia.
For our first flat screen TV my wife and I wanted to go with a good brand but we didn't want to pay the price. I search around and compared all the TV's out there. When comparing each TV I found that everywhere I looked the Sony Bravia TV line had the best quality over all. That doesn't mean as much if there are other problems with the model.
But Sony came through with exceptional quality. With our DVD's the TV was able to increase the picture quality greatly when compared to cable. The only down side was the wait time when you turned it on (10-15 seconds). Which isn't a problem at all for anyone with patience. I was also impressed with the viewing angle as we have a very large wrap around couch that is well outside the regular viewing area, but the view is still great way out to either side.
The sound quality for the Sony was wonderful. We have a Sony stereo system but don't hook it up for regular viewing. We've had the TV for two months now and though I am quite critical I haven't found anything wrong with it.
When purchasing TV's Sony will be the one I will measure every other product against. I am a huge Movie buff and I spend every night in front of my TV watching DVD's (soon to be Blue Ray) and I couldn't be happier. Even the connectors for components are easy to work with. While there is no port on the front of the TV it is easy to connect my digital camcorder to view my sons hockey on. This also improves the look of the TV since no wires are hanging out the front.
