Sony CDP-CX53 51-Disc CD Changer

A fair CD player, perhaps, but not the best you could buy. I must complement Sony on the sound quality that they are famed for. It certainly is the best sounding CD changer that I've ever owned, it just lacks some features. It would be nice to have fast-forward and reverse on the deck itself for those times that you can't find the remote. Also, it would be nice to be able to browse the CDs without having to stop play. One major flaw is in the remote. First of all, the remote is huge. It's the depth that really gets me. Well over 3/4" deep. The remote is is weak when it has batteries, which it goes through so quickly that yourarely ever have full strength batteries in it. Finally, the disc skip has not worked with any of the universal remotes I've attempted to pair it with. All together, this CD player is a fair purchase, but a larger one would be a very reasonable investment for those with many CDs.
