My favorite gift to myself.

Pros Just try and fill it up, 2 way remote, quiet.
Cons It's very big.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I think it's a worthwhile investment if you love your CD collection. Sony quality, ES sound, 400 disk capacity, convenience all add up to a great deal. brandnamez.com
Some general features:
20 character names for all 400 CDs.
Up to 200 different 20 character artist names.
8 different groups (but a CD can only belong to one).
A delete bin for your most hated tracks.
A two way remote with a back lit LCD. You can download all the group, disk name, etc information into it and flip through it on the screen.
A video output so you can see all the disk names with their artists on a TV.
Reads CD-Text, and will display the song and record name on screen and on the remote.
A digital optical output.
You can link it to another Sony changer and control it with the 1st (then you can do X-Fade and No-Delay, where the music litteraly never stops; no pause or silent periods).
I'm not a pro at the technical stuff, but I do know that it's a part of the ES line, which means supperior craftsmanship, and better sound. I can tell you that I noticed the difference in clarity right away switching from my old Sony 5 disk changer. Plus, there are 3 different filter settings you can use, according to the size/quality of your speakers.

My experience so far has been a positive one. The features are very helpful in managing a collection as large as this thing takes in. I did have to read the manual to understand just how to work the Hitlist and the group files and the rest, which is weird for me because I usually get it intuitively. Also, I found it easier to do organize them, and name the disks and artists at the deck itself than on the remote, which makes it a little uncomfortable. The two way remote works swell, but I foud that the signal spread angle from the receiver is very small, so you should be more or less in front of the receiver for the remote to pick it up, and you do have to point it almost directly at the deck the farther you are away which makes it harder to look at the LCD while you're working. The remote itself is very well laid out. All the basics are on top, and the special features are under the flip out door. I was surprised by how solidly it felt; I don't expect the door to break. The little joystick is VERY convenient fliping through the disks, tracks, groups, etc; just page up or down and push it when you found what you need. Two things that I felt were needed on the remote was volume control (still boggles me why it doesn't have that); and, on the deck, you can use the jog dial to turn to the disk you want to play after the one you're listening to ahead of time, but the remote can't do that.
The deck itself is also very well planned out. I figure you can insert about 10 CDs without touching anything through the large door. Theres an eject feature that kicks the CD up a little so you can just pull it out, which comes in very handy. It is quiet, and relatively fast (14-18 seconds to switch disks, depending on how far apart they are). The only thing that I disliked is the blue accent light inside of it: it's way too bright, and blinks irritatingly when it's switching disks.
Overall, I do recommend it to anyone who has a lot of CD's and hates to get up to switch them. I know for me, the convenience of not having to get up to switch around my 5 CDs every few hours is worth half the price.

Also, if you buy it before the end of March, you can send out for a free Sony keyboard that you can hook up to input names.
