Looking for a fast reading/seeking MP3 player with a few extras? Then this is the receiver for you. Lots of nice features.
This is a great CD/MP3 receiver. Solid features make it a great investment. The MP3 playback is great. Seek time is fast and quick which is great since you can fill a single CD with thousands of tracks. The jog dials are great and make navigating through the various menus great. The best use for the jog dials is seeking through an entire MP3 disc.
The only problem that I've had is that the player gets hot too quickly. Even in the cold months when using the heater. When the player gets hot it begins skipping tracks by playing only the first couple of seconds or for a full minute before switching to another track.
I'm hoping that this is only related to my particular unit and that I've ended up with a lemon. Also the removal of the faceplate sounds painful. It feels and sounds like you are about to break something.
One item I do recommend for anyone who purchases this receiver is the optional RM-X6S wireless remote. This makes a huge difference in the operation of the receiver. Forget the included remote and buy this one.
