Sony CDX-GT130 Car CD Player

Argh, my car got broken into right in front of my house, super irritating.  They took a case of San Pelegrino water and tried to take the radio, but didn't use the right tools so they just bent up and destroyed it.  So annoying.  I called Crutchfield, where I bought the old one,  and asked them "Is there another stereo that will use the same plugs and stuff so I don't have to rewire everything but rather can just slide in a new one?  The advisor told me "No, they are all different, you will have to rewire the adapter."  WRONG!    I read some reviews online and someone said they had replaced an older Sony XPlod unit with a new one and the plug fit and all the functions worked , so I figured, what the heck, I'll try that, I can always rewire it if needed.  
I had an older Sony Unit, a CDX-F5505X, which also says Xplod on the faceplate.  The new CDX-GT130 fit right in the same hole, I used the plug (pigtail adapter) that was already in my car but put in the surrounding sheetmetal locking sleeve that came on the new radio because the old one was bent up by the thieves.  So literally 30 minutes later it is all installed.   All functions work, the power antenna comes up, speakers are in the right places.  Sony made the plug outputs the same to make it easier to replace an older unit with a new one.  At least in the "Xplod" line.  
Now about the new radio.  Sounds great, has a aux input on the front faceplate for an ipod or generic MP3 player, 52 watts of power, lots of settings to change the concert hall experience, 4 speaker balance and fader and whatnot, all you would really ever want.  I am an adult who listens mostly to NPR and podcasts (spoken voice) and not so much music so I don't  need it super loud but I do like high fidelity, and this unit is clear.   I bought this on sale at Best Buy for $71.99.
