The Bottom Line:
it is great for the price
My daughter got this for Christmas. Really looks great on her desk and takes up so little room. This is a micro. But the speakers give a great range. The have a feature on the remote that gives more dynamic range (mostly kicks up the bass). The one positive we didn't even know about until we opened the box was the alarm clock feature on the remote. My daughter loves it for waking up/falling asleep to music. The negatives for us were: no cassette deck, the wires for the radio and the black plastic antenna really distract from a beautiful design, and the remote takes a bit to learn.
If you are looking for a spaceship/rocket launcher there are plenty of portable stereos out there. This one is one you can actually put on furniture and it looks nice.
